Owning a Cirrus should be about the freedom of flight, not the frustration of paperwork. At FA Aircraft Sales, we recognize that tracking maintenance intervals and coordinating with MROs is a significant hassle that most owners simply don't want. As your independent Continuing Airworthiness Organisation, we completely unburden you by taking over the full management of your aircraft’s maintenance lifecycle. From predictive scheduling to arranging workshop slots, we handle the logistics so you can focus on flying. We act exclusively in your interest, keeping your aircraft airworthy, compliant, and available when you need it.

Part ML CAO

Your dedicated Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation, operating under EASA Part ML — fully independent from your maintenance provider.

The Challenge

Why Cirrus SR owners need independent oversight

Aircraft maintenance management is more complex than most owners realise, and traditional arrangements leave critical gaps in accountability, compliance, and cost control.

Conflict of Interest

Your MRO currently plans and executes your Cirrus SR22 maintenance — with no independent body checking their work. This is the core problem a CAO solves.

Complex Compliance Tracking

50/100-hour inspections, calendar limits, Airworthiness Directives, CAPS repacks, Service Bulletins — one missed item can ground your aircraft or void your insurance.

Paperwork & Aircraft Value

Incomplete AMP records or missed ARC renewals directly reduce your Cirrus's market value. Clean, traceable maintenance documentation is worth thousands at resale.

MRO Logistics

Coordinating ferry flights, MRO slots, and multi-party handovers takes significant time — time you don't have as a Fly Aeolus partner or private Cirrus owner.

Unpredictable Downtime

Not knowing when your SR22 will next be grounded for scheduled maintenance makes planning impossible. Predictability starts with structured airworthiness management.

ARC & AMP Management

Airworthiness Review Certificates and Approved Maintenance Programmes require specialist Part ML management. A lapsed ARC means a grounded aircraft.

01

Independent Airworthiness Oversight

We are your CAO — not affiliated with any MRO. Every maintenance decision on your Cirrus SR is reviewed and approved by us, exclusively in your interest.

02

Predictive Maintenance Planning

We map all upcoming inspections, AD compliance deadlines, and CAPS repack intervals so you always know when your aircraft will next be grounded — weeks in advance, not hours.

03

AMP Creation & Revision

Your Approved Maintenance Programme is tailored to your specific Cirrus serial number, generation, and operating profile — and kept current as different suppliers issue new Airworthiness Directives.

04

ARC Review & Extension

We manage your Airworthiness Review Certificate under Part ML, ensuring your aircraft remains legally airworthy without interruption to your flying schedule.

05

Record Keeping & Aircraft Value Protection

We maintain complete digital maintenance records for your Cirrus. Clean, traceable records are directly linked to residual value — especially important if you plan to sell within the Fly Aeolus fleet or on the open market.

Frequently Asked Questions

CAO for Cirrus SR — FAQ

What is the difference between Part CAMO and Part CAO for a Cirrus owner?
Under EASA Part ML, a CAO (Combined Airworthiness Organisation) can both manage airworthiness and perform maintenance under one approval. CAMO handles complex/commercial aircraft with mandatory safety management systems (SMS), while CAO streamlines maintenance and management for non-complex, non-commercial aircraft. At FA Aircraft Sales we operate as your independent management organisation and never perform the maintenance ourselves — keeping the oversight clean and conflict-free.

Do I need a CAO for my Cirrus SR22?
Under EASA Part ML, privately operated Cirrus SR aircraft must have their continuing airworthiness managed either by the owner (with appropriate approval) or by a contracted CAO/CAMO. For most owners — especially those in fractional arrangements or without an aviation background — outsourcing to an independent CAO is both the compliant and practical choice.

Who manages ARC renewal for private aircraft ?
FA Aircraft Sales manages Airworthiness Review Certificate renewal for private aircraft owners from our offices in Antwerp (Belgium). We cover the full Part ML ARC process for Cirrus SR series aircraft across the Benelux and wider EASA member states.

How do I outsource CAO services for my private aircraft in Europe ?
The process starts with selecting an approved, independent CAO/CAMO — one with no commercial ties to your MRO. You then transfer your aircraft's continuing airworthiness management via a signed contract and handover of all maintenance records. FA Aircraft Sales handles the full onboarding process for a fixed intro fee of €1,250.

What does independent CAO for a Cirrus SR22 actually mean ?
It means the organisation planning your maintenance has no financial incentive to recommend unnecessary work — and no reason to overlook problems. An independent CAO reviews your MRO's findings, validates their scope of work, and ensures every AD, Service Bulletin, and inspection interval is tracked against your specific aircraft.

What happens if my ARC lapses ?
A lapsed Airworthiness Review Certificate means your aircraft cannot legally fly. We proactively track expiry dates and initiate renewal or extension procedures well in advance to ensure continuous airworthiness.

Which Cirrus aircraft types are covered ?
We cover the full Cirrus SR series: SR20, SR22 (all generations G1–G7), and SR22T operated under EASA Part ML and FAA.

Your Cirrus SR22 deserves independent airworthiness oversight.
